WizScript III Reverse Transcriptase
WizScript™ Reverse Transcriptase is a genetically modified M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase which exhibits RNA or DNA dependent DNA polymerase, but lacks ribonuclease H activity. This enzyme can synthesize a complementary DNA strand initiating from a primer using RNA or DNA templates. Removal of the RNase H activity results in an increase of full-length cDNA products. The RNase H activity degrades the RNA part of the cDNA/RNA hybrid following reverse transcription, which may prevent its inhibition during subsequent PCR steps.

1 unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to incorporate 1 nmol of dTTP into acid insoluble material in 10 minutes at 37°C using poly r(A)/oligo (dT) as a substrate.
